It tends to not be noticeable when someone has a drinking problem unless you are close to them. Unless you get abused by them. Unless you need to rely on them to support your business with their production. But a person who gets a little sloppy on a regular basis may not be noticed. Unless they kill someone in an auto accident. Unless they go to jail for drunk driving. It's culturally acceptable to drink. Just watch the movies of the 30s and 40s. Everyone smoked and most of them had a drink in their hands most of the time. Check out the Thin Man movies. The movie character was tipsy much of the time but still managed to be adorable. Overdrinking as a culturally accepted practice needs to go the way of smoking -- if you're going to do that you need to do that over there, in a restricted space.
