Some people manage to live dangerously, drinking up a storm, and some don't. Some people die. Or go to jail. My former husband was a drinker and drove while drinking. He finally stopped drinking when he got terrified he was going to hurt someone while driving. A friend of mine was in a head on collision with a drunk driver. The drunk driver died. He survived. When a person drinks enough to be dangerous, there's something in their life that needs fixing. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell some people that. Probably most people. But it's just as true whether they believe it or not.
