Of course it's not only fathers that drink. It's just that that is what I have seen more of than anything else. Families who lack the love and guidance they should have from a father. My former husband, who himself had a drinking problem, told me the story of the last drink his father took. His dad took after his mom and his mom got scared. My ex came roaring down the stairs and popped his dad in the nose. Fortunately, his dad was smart and saw how damaging his drinking was. He never drank again. it was funny, his dad wore a scar on his nose from that slug. Every time I see him, I think of that story.
