I did a survey of people who had been addicted and what it was like for them over the holidays. Some of them went home for the holidays and some did not. But it was common for families to try to put a good face on things for the holidays. Which means they tried to pretend the problem was not there so they could try to have a decent holidays. When someone is addicted, sometimes the only time you see them is the holidays. So please speak up. You may not have another chance to save their life and get them into rehab.
