Ya know when I was younger my mom told me to never start using drugs because not only were they harmfull but because I could possibly have a addictive personality. She told me that because a lot of my family members were once addited to either drugs or alcohol. Like her herself, my father, my grandfather, and a lot of my uncles were all once addicted to a substance or alcohol. So instead of listening to her I started to do a lot of partying which led to using drugs and drinking alcohol to excess. By the time I was fifteen I was already into cocaine, and using everyday!!! But before I got completely addicted my father got me some help by sending me to rehab.

I don't know if I buy the whole addictive personality theory. If this were true we should be able to administer some test at an early age to determine who has an addictive personality or not.
