Some people write in to the rehab where I work and say that their family member needs help but hasn't hit bottom yet. It's wrong to wait for a person to hit bottom because many people wind up in jail, dead or with long-term health problems before they ever hit bottom. Interventionists are there to get a person to realize they need help no matter where they are in relation to a "bottom." If you have a loved one who needs help, get an interventionist on the job if you can't get their agreement to go to treatment.
